After files are stored, Assureon continuously verifies the integrity of the file data on local and remote media, to insure the data is intact and always in it's exact original state. Assureon systems repair corrupted data automatically, and insure it's always available when it is required. Assureon incorporates 256 bit AES encryption and two different hashing algorithms in addition to file length, to completely and accurately identify all redundant files and reduce enterprise storage capacity requirements by as much as 80%. Assureon supports high speed media access via Infiniband as well as Ethernet, so high performance archiving applications such as video archiving are a snap.

Assureon utilizes agent software running on each server to replicate files to Assureon on a continuous or scheduled basis for a comprehensive disk-to-disk backup solution. Disk-to-disk-to-tape and remote disaster recovery configurations are easily implemented. Assureon file management options can migrate less-active files from your servers to Assureon bulk-storage automatically, even leaving stub files on the server, so files appear local but are retrieved over the network. Server storage is automatically freed up for other applications. Every file may be scheduled for deletion, locked for permanent archive, or managed with a wide range of user defined parameters to implement enterprise or governmental document management policies, while maintaining efficient use of storage resources across the entire enterprise.
